Collection: Home fragrance

A room can be shaped by scent as much as by anything you can see in it, and this collection draws on three very different traditions of doing it.

Kunjudo has hand-rolled incense on Awaji Island, Japan, since 1893, dyeing each stick with natural pigment rather than synthetic colour - which is why it burns down to a soft grey ash instead of black. Its Sen incense is built around hinoki, Japanese cypress, the scent of temples and traditional bathhouses long before anyone thought to bottle it.

Côté Bougie takes a different route: raffia-wrapped candles and diffusers, hand-crocheted in Morocco over a recycled-glass base, filled with fragrances composed in Grasse and named for the artisans and villages behind them - Tanneur, Raphia, Tamegroute.

C.Atherley works the English side of the same idea - a single flower, geranium, distilled and blended into candles, room sprays and reed diffusers from a greenhouse in Gloucestershire, the whole range named for the founder's grandmother.
