Based on the pelargonium Mabel Grey with its zesty, citronella fragrance, the Geranium No.3 candle is ideal for kitchens and outdoor summer living with its citrus notes helping to ward the bugs away.
Each candle is hand poured in a converted dairy in the UK’s South Downs. Made with a high-quality grade mineral and vegetable wax blend, including rapeseed oil and sustainably sourced palm oil for a beautiful and even burn. The wicks are carefully designed to be lead-free, fashioned from braided cotton, for optimal performance and quality.

Directions: When using the candle for the first time, leave it to burn until the wax has melted and pooled to the edge to ensure an even burn.
Regularly re-centre, straighten and cut the wick between
uses, ensuring it’s no longer than 1/4inch / 6mm.
Reusable glass jar: Once your candle is finished, carefully remove any excess wax and wick plates and wipe clean to reuse. Make sure there’s about a 1cm of wax left. Burning any further could cause the vessel to overheat.
Cautions: Never leave a flame unattended or near flammable surfaces and objects.

C.Atherley began in a greenhouse. After stepping away from her eponymous brand, founder Cath Kidston Padgham MBE returned to the Cotswolds garden she had loved since childhood and started collecting scented-leaf geraniums - rose, lemon, peppermint, nutmeg - each with its own extraordinary fragrance and mood. What began as a quiet obsession became a question: could these living scents be captured in a bottle?
A chance reunion with old friends Denis and Lesley Aaronson gave the idea a home. Together they founded C.Atherley, named after Cath's grandmother and the women in her family who spent their lives in the garden.
Today, C.Atherley is a small British body care brand making bath oils, hand and body lotions, candles and more - each formulation developed, blended and bottled in the English countryside from a 100% natural palette of eight essential oils. The range is vegan, the process is unhurried (every fragrance takes roughly two years to perfect), and the inspiration is always the same: a greenhouse full of geraniums, and the women who taught us to love them.
