Collection: Man

This is less a category than a set of things chosen with one kind of recipient in mind - objects with a slightly wry edge, most of them small enough to give.

Antica Barbieria Colla supplies the grooming: beard oils, aftershave milks and the Almond Shampoo that Milan's oldest barbershop has made since 1924. Varek supplies the humour - enamelled trays and canvas aprons printed with lobster, langoustine and sardine, lifted from vintage French seafood packaging, plus a poster of the same recipe illustrations sized for a wall. Cellerini, the Florentine leather atelier on Via del Sole, contributes a mini tape measure in the same cross-grained calfskin as its passport holders - the kind of object that lives in a jacket pocket for years, not months. Beppe Giacobbe and Cabaret Typographie bring the print end: fine art portraits from a Milanese illustrator who has drawn for Corriere della Sera for decades, and letterpress prints from a Milan-Paris collective still working nineteenth-century presses by hand.

What ties it together isn't one material or maker but a register - dry wit and real craft, sized for a desk, a shelf or a coat pocket rather than a room.
