Joume Atelier
Alice Fraudeau dyes each Joume Atelier scarf by hand in her Paris atelier, one at a time, over three days. She uses cyanotype, the photographic process discovered by Sir John Herschel in 1842: the silk is painted with a light-sensitive solution, composed with nineteenth-century natural-history plates and carried into the sun, which does the rest. Panthers, tigers, lions, cats and a map of Paris. Each one is one of a kind. Exclusive to Australia.

MAKER SPOTLIGHT
Fratelli Bonvini
Fratelli Bonvini has been a stationery shop and printworks on Via Tagliamento in Milan since 1909, kept just as it was by the typographers who took it over in 2014. Its archive of type, ornament and printing blocks now supplies notebooks, greeting cards and pencils, with covers by Milan illustrators and by Cabaret Typographie, the letterpress collective in residence at the shop. Exclusive to Australia.
