About Pygmalion
Rosanna Philpott founded Pygmalion in London with an architect's eye and a host's instincts. The result is a dinner candle that takes colour seriously - hand-poured in plant-based wax with natural dyes, in combinations bold enough to hold their own on any table. Named for the Greek myth in which a sculptor falls in love with his creation, Pygmalion makes objects designed to be looked at as much as used.
Candle care
1.
Keep the candles in their packaging until you transfer them to their holders to keep them dust-free and avoid breakages. Handle with care and do not drop them. If the coloured sections become loose they can rattle slightly, but will still burn safely and beautifully.
2.
Burn your candle in a well-ventilated room away from any draughts, fans or air-con units. This will help the candles be their best non-drip selves and stop them from burning quicker than they should.
3.
Never leave your candles unattended or in reach of children or pets. Extinguish with a snuffer.

Pygmalion began in 2021 as Rosanna Philpott's lockdown experiment at her kitchen hob in London, and is now a candle studio shaped by her architectural eye and her love of a crowded table.
Marrakech is burnt orange and oyster, poured by hand in layers that run right through the wax rather than being painted or dipped on, so the pattern keeps revealing itself as the candle burns down. The wax is plant-based and coloured with natural dyes, set around a cotton wick: unscented, non-drip, and good for more than ten hours.
Made for a long table and a late dinner.
Designed in London. Hand-poured.
