Glassy Plate – Blue, Large

Prempracha's Collection has shaped stoneware ceramics in San Kamphaeng, near Chiang Mai, since 1986, still run today by the family that founded it.

Glassy is the workshop's reactive-glaze tableware: a glossy glaze mixed to move and pool as it fires, so the surface of each piece settles into its own pattern. The collection runs across everyday plates and bowls, worked in blue, green, and brown.

This plate comes in a deep glossy blue, 28.5 centimetres across, the glaze pooling slightly heavier toward the rim where it caught longest in the kiln.
