Bevilacqua's version keeps every traditional detail - the pomegranate crown, the rope-twist brow, the painted gaze - while quieting the palette so the baroque scrollwork can breathe.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFurther east, Prempracha's Collection has shaped stoneware in San Kamphaeng, near Chiang Mai, since 1986, and is still run by the family that founded it. Their plates and bowls come in techniques with their own names - Tie Dye, where the glaze is brushed on in loose, bleeding strokes rather than laid flat; Drip Glaze; Kintsugi - each one visibly the record of a hand moving a brush, not a machine following a pattern.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhat the two workshops share matters more than what separates them: nothing here comes off a mold.
